In order to keep our community of producers engaged during the pandemic, we decided to make use of the virtual space to organize a series of online coaching session. On 16th October, 2020, we hosted our first Online Coaching Session exclusively for UK and New Zealand producers who are interested in an update of the latest landscape and a general understanding about Chinese film market. The session is led by Zhang Fan, Bridging the Dragon's China Project Manage, with her presentation on the Current Landscape of the Chinese Film Market, as well as Chinese expert Ming Beaver Kwei, SVP of Gravity Pictures who has produced and released such blockbusters as U.S.-China coproduction "The Meg". They answer percipients' questions and provide practical, in-depth advisory based on their discussions and interactions. We have selected 15 producers from the U.K. and 4 producers from New Zealand to participate this event, including Mark Foligno ("The King's Speech"), Paul Brett ("My Country, My People"), James Heyward ("Colours of China") , and colleagues from the BFI and NZ Film Commission.
